Repository Policy
At Visagaa Publishing House, we actively encourage authors to deposit their work in institutional repositories and personal websites. Authors are welcome to upload pre-publication manuscripts during and after the submission process, and the final Publisher-formatted PDF version may be made available without embargo after publication.
These practices help authors enhance the visibility, reach, and citation of their research through wider access and engagement. For open access content, authors must follow our re-use guidelines provided below.
Author Self-Archiving Policy
As Natural Resources for Human Health (NRFHH) is an Open Access journal, all articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives (CC BY-NC-ND) license.
This license allows others to read, download, distribute, copy, print, and link to the full text of the article without requiring prior permission, provided the content is properly cited and used for non-commercial purposes, including repository sharing.
Guidelines for Reusing Open Access Content
- The journal must be identified as the original source of publication.
- The correct citation, including journal name, authors, and DOI, should always be included.
- Authors are encouraged to deposit the Version of Record (VOR) in any institutional or subject repository, along with the DOI or article URL.
- Depositing the VOR helps ensure accurate citation and visibility of your work.
Article Versions and Sharing Guidelines
1. Author’s Original Manuscript (AOM)
Definition: The version before peer review, as originally submitted to the journal.
How to share: Authors may share their AOM via personal websites, preprint servers, academic networks (like ResearchGate), and social media. When posting, please include:
“This article has been accepted for publication in Natural Resources for Human Health.”
2. Accepted Manuscript (AM)
Definition: The version that has undergone peer review and has been accepted for publication.
How to share: Authors may upload the AM version immediately after acceptance to any non-commercial site, such as institutional repositories or academic networks. Include the following statement:
“This is a manuscript that has been accepted for publication in Natural Resources for Human Health on [Date of publication], [DOI of article].”
3. Version of Record (VOR)
Definition: The final formatted version of the article that is published and assigned a DOI.
How to share: Authors may share the PDF of the VOR on any non-commercial website or archive, or link directly to the article via its DOI.
Linking Article Versions
If you have shared earlier versions (AOM or AM), you can link them to the VOR once published using this wording:
“This is an [Accepted Manuscript / Author’s Original Manuscript] of an article published in Natural Resources for Human Health on [Date], available at [DOI].”
