CrossMark Policy
Visagaa Publishing House is committed to ensuring the integrity and quality of its scholarly content. To support this commitment, we participate in the CrossMark service provided by Crossref. This initiative helps ensure readers are accessing the most current and reliable version of a scholarly article.
What is CrossMark?
CrossMark is a multi-publisher initiative from Crossref that provides a standardized way for readers to locate the current version of a piece of content. It enables transparency by clearly indicating whether an article is up to date or if updates (corrections, retractions, or other modifications) have been made.
When authors publish their work in Natural Resources for Human Health (NRFHH), the final version of the article includes the CrossMark logo. By clicking on the logo, readers can instantly verify the status of the document.
How CrossMark Works
- The CrossMark logo is added to the title page of each article’s Version of Record (VOR).
- By clicking the CrossMark icon, readers can view:
- The current status of the article (e.g., unchanged, corrected, retracted)
- Publication details, such as:
- Author ORCID IDs (if available)
- Funding information
- Other metadata linked to the publication
- This process adds transparency and builds trust by assuring readers they are viewing the most authoritative version.
Corrections and Updates
While we strive to publish error-free content, we acknowledge that updates may sometimes be necessary. If any correction, retraction, or update is made post-publication, it will be clearly indicated in the CrossMark record of that article.
What Authors Should Know
- Your article will carry the CrossMark logo upon publication.
- Any future updates or corrections will be reflected transparently.
- This improves the visibility, authenticity, and credibility of your research.
Example Placement
The CrossMark logo will be located on the title page of every published article PDF and online HTML version.
